(Ridge Heights municipal maintenance) Benjamin Adams on people: If you want me to talk about people, then you should accept that I will be honest. I don't like very many people. Some; not many. If everyone here who rages was honest about people, you would know that I'm not alone. Many will say they like other people when they're in public, worried what they might be labeled, but when you talk to those same people in private; they don't care for very many people either. This is what I have to say; no government, or group, or law, or threat of repercussion is going to make me like anyone. Only the person can make me like him or her, and when that happens I'll let them know, but I won't pretend for any imposed reason. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that I shouldn't be nice to people or treat them the way I want to be treated. I would give them the benefit of the doubt, but I don't give it to them for very long. Remember what Christine Slate said,  "Everybody wants to be cute." I believe she's absolutely right. Give a person enough space and time, and most people will show you how cute they want to be, and you'll see that some people just don't give a d^*# about you. Don't forget, there are people that are good as gold, but like gold they are just as hard for me to find. I think good relationships between people continue until someone says or does something that the other deems outside the border they created for that person. Do something they don't agree with, and you can forget about them. Knowing it's true on occasion, I will do or say something purposely to get someone away from me. Like I said, I don't like very many people, and the more people that stay away from me the happier I am. Let me work, chug some whiskey, have honorable friends, and someone special to share things with. That's all I need. The rest can just leave me alone.
